System Requirements & Installation Notes

Timesheet Xpress is a software based solution with the facility for remote users to also submit timesheets to a central location. The software can be run on a stand alone PC or across a network. There are no additional application requirements (over and above a standard windows server installation) needed on servers to facilitate the functioning of the software.
 
 

Technical Specification Requirements:

For the installation of our software we recommend:
Computer: Pentium 4 2GHz or higher
Memory: 256 MB or Higher
Monitor: XGA or higher resolution (1024 x 768 or greater)
Installation: Minimum 150MB of free hard disk drive space
Operating System: Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 (32/64 bit)
 
 
 

Prior to Installation, consider:

Depending on the product you select Timesheet Xpress, Timesheet Collect or TTrack; there are important considerations we recommend before installation which will help greatly with ongoing administration and support.
 
Initial set up with User and Company Details It is better that all users input this key date in the same format
  • Decide how the company name should be input “Self & Co” or “Self and Co” or “Self & Company” etc.
  • Decide how user names should be input “JT Kirk”, James T Kirk”, “JK” etc
Decide location of folder for storing weekly timesheets
  • For aggregated reporting (which includes all employees) we recommend that you install the program through the Network and Sharing Wizard, which sets the program to save all your colleagues timesheets in a single shared folder. When you create any report your timesheet data will be collated automatically.
  • Consider if individual users are permitted to download “web updates” (this function is set on as default)
If you wish to use your company logo the image must be in .bmp format and 50x144 pixels or smaller
